All of us, in every country, want to move up the curve: more access to energy with more productivity. The U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA) projects nearly 50% growth in world energy usage by 2050. By then, access to cheap and sustainable energy will be critical and will improve the standard of living for billions around the globe.

To offset the 51 Giga-tons of CO2 already emitted annually while meeting this growing demand, we need a disruptive technology capable of supplying low-cost Joules at both grid & distributed scale without inverting the laws of economic gravity.

Our mission at Aquarius Energy is to demonstrate and commercialize a novel approach to fusion power using catalytic nanoparticles. This reaction produces copious amounts of heat energy along with helium, an innocuous byproduct. 

No CO2 emission. No radioactive fuel. No radioactive waste.

Deuterium fuel is abundant in seawater and is nearly 100X cheaper than natural gas with this reaction pathway! This means a reliable, scalable, carbon-free power source.

Drop-in technology for process heating and electricity generation would significantly reduce operating costs in energy-intensive industries.

A hydrogen fuel cell car tank replaced with deuterium holds 2 million times more energy - imagine a car with 10 million miles of range

We are partnered with the Cargnello Lab in Stanford University's Department of Chemical Engineering to build an Irrefutable Proof of Principle: a reactor system that demonstrates nuclear energy release through the production of helium-4. This system allows us to characterize catalyst materials and iteratively optimize at the nanoscale for peak performance.
